Living Etc magazine - August 2015

Hello there,  I was just looking through Living Etc magazine and I spotted the ditsy floral melamine plate I designed for BHS inside.  It was in their Agenda Shopping section.

A nice surprise for today.

Kew Royal Botanical Gardens Robin

This jolly chap is now on tea-towels and Christmas cards at Kew Royal Botanical Gardens.

I hand painted him with watercolours and adjusted the colours slightly on Photoshop.  I'm thinking of stocking up on a few cards and one of the tea towels.  Here's the link to the tea-towel and Christmas cards in Kew's online shop.

They even included my name on the back of the cards and the website - yay!

Sonix iPhone case - licensed design

Hi everyone,
I found this the other day, a floral design I licensed out to Sonix, a digital accessories company in America.  I was having a little look online and hadn't realised they had used it for final selection.  I like it a lot!  Here's the link to their web page: Sonix, they've named the design Fuchsia Bloom.

I have started to expand my licensed design selection - slowly but surely, so if you wanted to have a peek, checkout my website here: www.sarahpapworth.co.uk.  I'm also aiming to add more in a private section, so they aren't on view to everyone.  I'll let you know once that's up and running.

But for now, have a great day folks!

Invite designs

Hi there folks, I've been pretty busy creating things recently.  I'll aim to start posting more and getting you right up to date with my design work.  I tend to add lots to Instagram where I add sketches and working pics (including a few allotment pics - my other fav thing to do)!  I also add quite a bit to my new Facebook page , for my freelance work, so take your pick on which you'd prefer to take occasional peeks at!

Below are a few invites I've designed recently.  They are all hand-drawn (or painted), then I scan in the different sections and college them all together on Illustrator, with a little help from Photoshop.  I've now added them to my portfolio website which I'm currently updating too (very busy bee indeed).

Have a great day x

Good Homes - Cosy in the country.

Hello everyone,  I hope you're all good?  My home was featured in this months Good Homes Magazine (November 2013).  It's quite strange to see the pictures in print, especially while I'm now typing at my turquoise desk right now!  It's about the converted barn mostly and how we've decorated it, including bits about the items I make for our home and the planet-kind homeware I design and hand-print for Beetroot Press; my small business.  I've scanned in the pages below for you to see and I'm currently cosy-ing up our home more because of the drop in temperature.  Extra blankets are coming out, candles lit and hot water bottles in bed!  Hope you enjoy reading, or you can still grab a copy in the shops now until the 25th Oct.

As we are planning to have a quiet Christmas at ours this year, I'm hoping to make some simple christmas decorations for the barn, so I'll share these with you at a later date.

knitwear design: Ruby and Freddies

Ruby and Freddies is a lovely British company selling simple and traditional children's clothing aged from birth to 7 years old which is all manufactured in the UK, made from super soft cotton and organic cotton.

I love the girls cotton dresses, which are handmade to order, with adjustable straps and the little londoners baby grows would make a perfect gift.

And this is my design on the Ruby and Freddies 'Little Woolies' jumpers!  Pigeon and bowler hat fairisle design on 100% cotton unisex jumpers.  They come in sizes 1 to 7 years and were launched at June's 'Bubble' trade fair.  They come in pink, green, blue and purple colours and I still can't decide which is my favourite colour, I think I'll have to have them all!

Here's the link to the online store to see more and support British design and manufacturing!  Ruby & Freddies
